Songsoo Kim, MD PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow | AI & Imaging Informatics

Hi! I’m Songsoo Kim, a radiologist and physician-scientist working at the intersection of medical-imaging AI and clinical translation. As AI opens up new methods and new questions for radiology, my goal is to channel them into more meaningful medical imaging — advancing radiology practice and, ultimately, improving patient care.

I’m currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Radiology at Seoul National University Hospital. Before joining SNUH, I completed my diagnostic radiology residency at Gangnam Severance Hospital and my PhD in Biomedical Systems Informatics at Yonsei University College of Medicine.

Outside of work, I stay active at the gym, take long walks around the city with my wife, and chase down good restaurants whenever I can. I also genuinely enjoy exchanging ideas across cultures and disciplines — some of my favorite conversations have happened over coffee, in conference hallways, and on calls across time zones. If any of this resonates with you — wherever you are — please reach out!
